Let Dr. Lynch help you meet your professional goals without all the STRESS!
Make no mistake, this IS a job offer! The position involves a two year contract offered through Heartland Veterinary Partners. Full benefits, NO WEEKENDS, no emergencies. Competitive salary. We are offering the mentorship program to attract quality doctors in today's tight job market. The mentorship is just one of many employee benefits.
This is NOT an internship or an externship. You will be a full time, fully paid associate of the practice for two years, the first year will be guided by a highly structured but very flexible training program. The idea is to give a new or recent graduate a solid foundation to stand on in a world of information overload. Every effort will be made to minimize stress and anxiety so that you can enjoy the profession from the start.
The mentee will have access to an exclusive Google classroom that will contain select and relevant material and guides. The mentee will also have the daily guidance of Dr. Lynch. Each week there will be a focus on one topic of the Mentee's choice. Mornings will start with one hour of record review, rounds, and coverage of weekly topics. Weeks will end with a lunch debriefing. Any medical and surgical cases will have as much attention from the mentor as the mentee desires or requests.
Established in 1953 as a local family-owned general veterinary practice, this practice has been home for two generations of Patterson family doctors. This hospital is now a proud member of Heartland Veterinary Partners.

She has worked in no less than 13 different medical environments, to include specialty and emergency critical care. She also has experience with developing teaching programs and has taught at grade school through college level courses. Last but not least; Dr. Lynch has experience with working through the rough side of the veterinary field including licensing issues, legal issues, compassion fatigue, and burnout. Probably the hardest part of being a vet.
In addition to our many sidekicks, like Winkie here, we are a fully equipped hospital with state-of-the-art diagnostic, treatment, and monitoring equipment. Now that we are a Heartland partner, there are also many update projects in the works, including transitioning to Avimark. A mentee will have direct access to digital x-ray, quality ultrasound, and in house lab equipment.
